Jewel Malick, D.O. is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is a highly skilled and innovative laparoscopic & pelvic reconstructive surgeon who enjoys complex surgical challenges. Dr. Malick settled in the Dallas area in 1991 and established The OB-GYN Place in Rockwall in 1995. She has served as President of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists, as a Senior Examiner on the Certifying Board & as a member of the Board of Directors of Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall. Dr. Malick holds the rank of Captain in the United States Navy Reserve. She is an avid golfer & a private pilot and especially enjoys country music & daylight savings time.

Maureen A. Ribail, D.O. is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is a gifted & experienced pelvic surgeon who enjoys all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also trained & practiced as an RN & Nurse Practitioner prior to receiving her medical degree in 1991. This background of learning to care before learning to cure is reflected in the level of empathy & compassion that Dr. Ribail brings to the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Ribail joined The OB-GYN Place in 1996 after completion of her residency. Dr. Ribail has been involved in many community volunteer projects and has served in numerous hospital staff leadership positions; including Chief of Surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall. Dr. Ribail enjoys adventurous travel, golf, & gardening. She is the mother of two daughters, Natalie & Leah, both of whom are following their mother's footsteps in the medical field.

Carol A. Poole, M.D. is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is a highly respected Gynecologic Surgeon & Obstetrician, with an established reputation for excellence in the Rockwall area since 1991. Dr. Poole joined forces with Dr. Malick & Dr. Ribail in 1997. Dr. Poole has chaired numerous hospital committees and has been active in quality assurance efforts throughout her career. She has served as Chief of Surgery at Lake Point Hospital & in numerous church leadership positions. She enjoys physical training & golf and is a lover of animals & music of all kinds.

Fara Behnia, M.D. is Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is the newest partner at The OB-GYN Place having joined the group in 2005. Dr. Behnia is an outstanding surgeon and possesses strong academic & clinical expertise in all aspects of Obstetrical care. Dr. Behnia coordinates obstetrical services at The OB-GYN Place and is highly regarded for her skill, compassion, & poise under pressure. Dr. Behnia received numerous research awards in medical school and during her residency. She is active in staff education and enjoys physical training and Starbucks.

Channon Hudgins, M.D. is the newest member of the OB-GYN Place Team. Dr. Hudgins received her medical degree from the University of Texas at Galveston and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee in Memphis where she excelled both clinically and academically.
Dr. Hudgins thrives on the high drama of complicated obstetrics and enjoys the technical challenges of all aspects of pelvic surgery.
Dr. Hudgins is a native Texan with a quick smile and kind and compassionate soul. When not working (which isn’t often as the ‘new girl’), Dr. Hudgins enjoys cooking and travel and is an accomplished beaded jewelry artist.

LaDawn Cantu, R.N.;C.N.P. is a Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. LaDawn received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from UT Arlington and her Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from UT Southwestern. She sees a full spectrum of Obstetrical and Gynecologic patients. Her 10 years of Labor and Delivery Experience prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner is an invaluable asset to the practice. LaDawn is fluent in Spanish, enjoys playing the piano, and loves to cook. LaDawn has been with the practice for 11 years.
